All properties listed on Reentaro are for long-term leases only, with a minimum contract period of six (6) months. The majority of landlords prefer and offer one-year contracts.
Since Reentaro is a direct Owner-to-Tenant platform (no agency fees), you typically only pay two amounts to the landlord upon signing: the First Month’s Rent and the Security Deposit (usually equivalent to one month’s rent). All payments are due in Euros (€).
Reentaro provides the communication tool for direct contact. Tenants communicate directly with the property Owner. Once an agreement is reached, the Owner handles the viewing scheduling, lease agreement, key handover, and deposit collection.
Yes, Reentaro strongly advises all tenants to physically inspect the property and verify its condition before signing any contract or transferring funds. This is essential to prevent potential fraud and ensure the property meets your expectations.
The lease contract is exclusively a private agreement between the Owner and the Tenant. Reentaro acts solely as the listing platform and is not involved in drafting, reviewing, or managing the legal terms of the rental agreement.
In almost all long-term rentals in Malta, utilities are NOT included. The monthly rent covers the apartment cost only. Water and electricity are usually paid directly by the tenant, often via pre-paid cards or monthly bills.
The Owner will typically request a valid ID/Passport and Proof of Income/Employment (e.g., job contract or pay slips). Tenants must be prepared to provide these documents to the Owner directly.
Reentaro’s involvement ends after the initial connection. All maintenance and property management issues during the lease term must be directed and resolved exclusively with the property Owner as stipulated in your private lease agreement.
